As I get older, I’ve taken to decluttering. Clearing out the garage. Simplifying my workspaces. That sort of thing.
Along with physical decluttering, I’ve been considering the notion of consolidating my online life under one domain. There was a time when I owned too many domains. One for this website, one for that blog, one for this half-baked idea I may go after someday. I had dozens of domains.
Now I want just one, so today I started the process of folding everything into inscho.org. This website has already made the transition, as has my Atmosphere identity and my Navidrome instance. As new things emerge, they will live at a subdomain and be compartmentalized within one domain.
It’s bittersweet letting go of some long-standing URLs, especially StaticMade.com, which was my digital front porch for years. Inscho is my real-world identity and it feels natural to unify under that digital identity as well.
This website has been chugging along since 2004 under several names. I’m glad it’s finally living under mine.
